Cyborg Football Steal! – Roblox Brand Activation
Fictional Sports IP • Brand Integration Architect & Systems Designer

Overview
CyborgFL — a futuristic fictional sports IP with global team franchises — required a native Roblox experience to introduce a brand-new property to a young, platform-savvy audience. The project needed to integrate multiple interconnected game
systems, sustain high retention, and express the brand mechanically rather than through passive marketing.
Systems Architecture & Strategic Design
- Steal-a-Brainrot Core Loop: Player competition drives engagement while embedding the IP in active gameplay.
- Character & Team System: Unique cyborg footballers assigned to teams with rarity tiers, themed stats, and visual identity, creating loyalty and collection incentives.
- Faction Base Ownership & Territory Play: Encourages competition and social identity, extending retention.
- Weapons, Vehicles & Drones: Integrated cosmetic and functional assets to reinforce IP aesthetics in interactive systems.
- Rebirth & Leveling Loops: Long-term retention mechanics rewarding consistent engagement.
- Brand Awareness Tools: Team & Cyborg Index and World Map, integrating lore, characters, and geography into gameplay to drive exploration.
- Monetization & Progression: Branded in-game currency with implicit links to external commerce, plus badges and leaderboards to guide players and encourage social sharing.
- Tutorial & Onboarding: Structured introduction to all systems, ensuring full content discovery.
Technical Approach
All systems were modular and fail-safe, isolating state and data dependencies to prevent cascading issues across 14 interdependent systems. Custom assets followed a strict performance pipeline — LOD, texture atlasing, and polygon budgets — to maintain Roblox-native performance while delivering cohesive aesthetics. The core engagement loop placed IP assets directly in the world, creating active, kinetic brand interaction, while the lore and map systems extended the brand narrative beyond gameplay. This approach allowed players to develop meaningful relationships with the IP through mechanics rather than passive exposure.

Strategic Outcomes
- Launched a full-featured brand activation across 14 integrated systems.
- Embedded IP discovery into active gameplay and long-term retention loops, rather than static marketing.
- Rebirth, leveling, and progression systems sustained repeat engagement over multiple sessions.
- Demonstrated that a new fictional IP can cultivate player affinity on Roblox when brand expression is systemic, not just cosmetic.
Scope & Role
- Architected core engagement, progression, and retention systems
- Integrated IP assets with gameplay loops to maximize both retention and brand recognition
- Optimized performance and mobile accessibility across the experience
- Designed modular frameworks to allow post-launch expansions and content iteration
